Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zovay app and related services ("Zovay"). By creating a Zovay account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Zovay. Zovay verifies your age from the date of birth you provide during sign-up; an account found to belong to someone under 18 will not be permitted onboarding privileges and may be removed.

2. Your account

You create a Zovay account by signing in with Apple, signing in with Google, or registering with an email address and password. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Every new account must complete Zovay's onboarding steps — including setting a password you control, uploading a cover photo and at least one additional photo, and completing selfie verification — before it becomes fully active.

3. What Zovay is

Zovay is a travel companion app. It helps you build a traveler profile, plan trips with destinations and dates, and discover other travelers whose trips and interests overlap with yours, so you can connect and potentially travel together. Zovay is not a dating or matchmaking service, and using it as one is not what it's designed or licensed for.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you upload to Zovay ("your content"), and you grant Zovay the license needed to store, display, and process it for the purpose of operating the app — for example, showing your profile photos to other travelers. You confirm you have the right to upload your content and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

Every profile photo you upload may be automatically screened for disallowed content before it can be shown to others, per Zovay's Community Guidelines.

5. Community Guidelines

Using Zovay means agreeing to follow its Community Guidelines, which describe expected behavior in more detail and are part of these Terms by reference.

6. Prohibited behavior

Without limiting the Community Guidelines, you agree not to: impersonate another person; harass, threaten, or abuse other travelers; upload content that is sexually explicit, exploitative of a minor, or otherwise illegal; use Zovay for spam, scams, or fraud; attempt to bypass Zovay's verification, moderation, or security systems; or use Zovay for any purpose other than genuine travel planning and connecting with other travelers.

7. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Zovay provides in-app tools to report and block other users. Reports are reviewed against the Community Guidelines. Depending on what's found, Zovay may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account.

8. Suspension and termination

Zovay may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms or the Community Guidelines, for extended inactivity, or where required by law. You may delete your own account at any time directly inside the app — see the Privacy Choices & Account Deletion page.

9. Other travelers and travel responsibility

Zovay helps you discover and connect with other travelers, but it does not organize, guarantee, insure, or take responsibility for any trip, meeting, or travel arrangement between users. You are solely responsible for your own safety, decisions, travel arrangements, and any interactions with other travelers, both online and in person. Zovay's verification step confirms a profile matches its own photos; it is not a background check and does not guarantee a person's identity, intentions, or conduct.

10. Third-party services

Zovay relies on third-party services to operate (see the Privacy Policy for the current list). Zovay is not responsible for the availability or performance of those third parties' own systems.

11. Service availability

Zovay is provided on an "as available" basis. Features may change, and Zovay does not guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

12. Intellectual property

The Zovay name, logo, and app are the property of Mohamed Abdelgawad. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zovay is provided without warranties of any kind, and Zovay's liability for any claim relating to the app is limited as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable law says so).

14. Privacy

Zovay's Privacy Policy explains what information Zovay collects and how it's used, and is part of these Terms by reference.

15. Changes to these Terms

If Zovay makes a material change to these Terms, the version number and effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use Zovay after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. If you're a consumer habitually resident in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, this choice of law doesn't deprive you of the protections those mandatory laws give you, and nothing here removes your right to bring a claim in your own country's courts where the law entitles you to do so.
